I don’t understand the hype with this one. Sure well known actors,nice places and storyline but that’s it. Lots of unnecessary scenes and seems to me like the director tried to imitate the independent European cinematography and failed. I couldn’t distinguish the actual director’s personal touch or glimpse but I noticed elements of other directors combined. I was shocked after watching this. I knew what the real story was about but it really made my heart stop when the sa scene was happening. The way Hilary Swank is portraying Brandon brings tears to my eyes. She portrays him as a kind hearted, good-intentioned person, unaware of the horrors of the world and how evil people can be. I literally fell in love with him and his personality. It is def a movie that stayed in my heart.
