The danish are doing something right. Each character had so much depth. The typical unlikeable characters were so memorable. Maybe it was the edible, but Ollie, Liam, and I were cackling and crying.

Days of Heaven 1978
Devan and I couldn’t stop saying WOW LOOK AT THAT, BRO SEE THAT IN THE BACK, HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THE FLOWY WHEAT, we didn’t even hear any of the lines.
I could’ve studied the natural light and composition in each frame for hours. Néstor Almendros was the main cinematographer and Wikipedia says he drew inspiration from silent films and Edward Hopper… man I want his talent.
I’d give this 5 stars if the ending had the level of punch that a few of the sequences had… writing this a day later still thinking about locusts and what’d be like to live in 1916.Translated from by

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me 1992
Just amazing. I can’t get enough of this universe.
I can’t believe the first time I ever watched this, I watched it BEFORE starting the series. My idiot self thought i should bc it was prequel.
Even though most of the plot was covered in the series it was beautiful to watch it all uncovered for us live. I was reading that lynch and frost were forced to reveal Laura’s killer asap, thus season 2 being filled with mostly B Plots. Praise to Lynch and all the other directors for pulling together an amazing season 2 finale given those circumstances.
