I love when movies make me nostalgic for a time 40 years before I was even born. Audrey Hepburn proves why she sits atop my list of silver screen queens alongside Grace Kelly and Catherine Deneuve. Few have the ability to completely command the screen like that. What may seem to some as a cheesy romcom from a bygone era are completely overlooking the depth in the script, character arcs, and quality in the filmmaking. Perhaps its only flaw is its wild portrayal of asians, but lowkey I thought it was hilarious that something that absurd was allowed to fly back then lmao.

The Girl with the Needle 2024
Some really impressive cinematography. Very Cold War-esque. But, my god, did I not enjoy most of the film. Which isn't to say it was objectively bad, I was just wavering between mildly uncomfortable to pretty repulsed throughout the runtime.
