AHHHHH that SOUND in the beginning IS SO GOOD. Obsessed with no dialogue at first. I’m a sucker for the West. The desire for power is potent, and power over the people is desperately clawed for with Day-Lewis and Dano. They spend so much time getting the other to denounce their way of seeing the world and how they exist, that there is no room for introspection, there is no time to stop and look at yourself. The son slayed, so good for him. Don’t go bowling.
