The Marvels 2023
Almost everything about the movie was average. The story wasn't special, the villain wasn't that bright, the ending was mostly predictable, the acting didn't blow me away, and they relied pretty heavily on the special effects for fight scenes.
All in all though, I didn't dislike it. I got a laugh or two from time to time and I liked a few of the connections that were being made for future MCU projects.

**Be aware that this might not be the movie for you if you struggle with visuals of animal abuse.**
Outside of that, GOTG vol.3 is honestly one of the better MCU releases post endgame. It isn't easy to make good sequels, but the plot was solid, the visuals were good, and I thought the acting was great.
I ended up watching this at home but would have paid full price at the movie theater if I had the time back…

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom 2023
2.5 stars might be generous but I like superheroes. The movie was pretty bland from start to finish, and I can't think of a single moment from it that anyone will talk about the next day.
For what it's worth, if you find yourself with nothing to do on a Tuesday night, I'm sure there are worse ways to spend your time.

Personally, I enjoyed the movie but there was nothing special about it. They got a decent cast, and everyone played their role well.
The only caveat is that it was pretty forgettable if you compare it to other Guy Richie films. You'll be fine so long as you enjoy the movie for what it is and don't go in expecting it to be a masterpiece like "The Gentleman."
