A bleak, soulless cash grab with none of the whimsy or joy of the original.

She's the Man 2006
Channing Tatum was excellent casting to match Amanda Bynes's charisma, I'm not sure anyone else at the time could have pulled it off. Some of (a lot of) this aged... poorly. But the end bit with the two of them in the moonlight confessing to each other was just what Billy Shakes imagined 400 years ago, and I was giggling and kicking my feet with him in spirit.

Beautiful Boy 2010
One of the best movies I will never watch again. It was absolutely heart-wrenching and captivating, sorrowful and full of raw, emotionally seeping wounds. Michael Sheen and Maria Bello are some of the best in the business at fine-tuned, nuanced emotional performances. Every fluctuation in their individual and collective rollercoasters throughout the film were portrayed with subtlety and finesse. Thinking about the naked, debilitating grief that one would experience after such an event is almost unimaginable, but both actors depicted every awful, ugly, snot-nosed moment of it in an unflinching manner that made it impossible to look away.
