Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 2016
I know that this movie went through reshoots but it is rock solid. I love it. Looks great, sounds great. Garrett Edwards is an amazing Vfx Director. A complaint I often hear is that there’s too many characters, too many places, but that doesn’t bother me. It’s a Star Wars movie in a field of its own and my fav of the Disney era movies. Makes the world of Star Wars feel much more alive.

Lawrence of Arabia 1962
I’ve seen this movie for the second time now and it is a stone cold classic for a reason. What drove me to the rewatch was reading Dune, there’re many parallels between the Lawrence and the Arabs, and Paul and the Fremen. Very interesting to watch with this context.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 2007
I’ve watched these movies so many times over the years, first three anyway, but it is so fucking awesome coming back to revisit them every year or so. Just excellent. Huge smile on my face. What big studio blockbusters deserve to be.

Ocean's Twelve 2004
I rewatched this movie like six months ago so idk why this thought is popping into my head now. But despite the one gimmick that people seem to hate in this bad boy (which for the record I agree, not my fav gag). This movie is still just so stylish and cool and fun. That’s really the best way I can describe it. But it doesn’t lose anything that made the first Oceans movie great, if anything it builds upon that foundation and takes some fun swings. Also it’s the one movie that makes me want to visit Europe.
