I haven't thought about this movie since seeing it in theaters. I forgot it existed but it's actually good. Especially as someone who is from a small American town this hits. yeah when you are one of only 2-5 black ppl in your town you might be friends with a crazy white lady who does w/e she wants and she'll stand up for you but it also not cool with but kind of cool with a few of the racists…

I enjoyed it ~ def not the deepest critic of our society and obvi similar to various recent others but not complete dookie like some of y'all had me convinced it would be. the lighting + production design and music is well done.
Ayo looked amazing even if her character was a tad annoying (kudos to more black women characters just being). The trim your bush bit dragged on too long, esp since no way her bush got trimmed in that tight ankle length Prada and fluffy buss down

ENJOYED! but (I can't believe I'm saying this) can't wait to see this again NOT in IMAX this was def not filmed for IMAX, just needs to be seen on a regular degular theatre screen with good sound
with that said, it was nice to walk out of the theater knowing I have ppl in my life (like Nasha) who love, prob don't like but still love, every version of me and I every version of them
