Porco Rosso 1992
I don’t know how he does it. Every film I’ve seen of Miyazaki has been a magical experience. This was more on the lighthearted side of things considering all the jokes about being a pig, among other things. The flowing music, the ever familiar animation style, and a story that just leaves you aching for more fighter planes and star struck lovers trying to make it in the world. Miyazaki truly is one of the best out there. Not just when it comes to animated movies, but the art of filmmaking as a whole.
