I Saw the TV Glow 2024
It was neither complicated,m nor overly simple. You can understand the imagery, the pain, the dread, the melancholy, without much effort -- but it isn't shallow. It's beautiful and well made and everything I thought would be an ick ended up helping immensely with the ambiance. I found myself scared once, uncomfortable several times, and it felt more like a horror movie than a lot of gorrey and graphic things I've seen in the past decade. But it wasn't just that. Everything felt like it had a purpose. Loved it.
