Cinderella 2021
in efforts to try and make this a feminist movie where cinderella doesn’t need to rely on a man to be successful, they completely missed the mark when she relied on the fabulous godmother. replacing women spaces with men is tired, but this new wave of replacing women with queer men is just as unproductive bc they’re still men. that being said, the main cast was extremely white, and i do believe that it is important to have black queer people in mainstream media.
overall, the singing was awful, camila cabello is not a good dancer, and the acting was rough.
