  "It's broken, but it still sings. Can't you hear it?"

  I had to research that potato thing, and it ended up representing so much about what this film is about. Stuff like inherited trauma, superstition, and fear, making her outcry about removing it so much more heavy.
  Even though I don't know much, if anything about Peruvian history, the film did a great job of conveying what "The Milk of Sorrow" is.
