Having read the book I should have known Dune: Part Two was going to be a war film. That said, it was as expected beautiful and evocative. I found the score compelling, although somewhat overbearing at times and the cinematography once again, a visual feast.
What I did not expect was such strong themes of colonialism, white saviorism, and the blatant exploitation of an indigenous people by the very person they sought to help them.

I was so disappointed when I finally watched this film. Having seen the trailer I was excited by the beautiful art style and the relatable subject matter, however the full movie did little to build on that strong start.

While I find Hercule Poirot outrageously self important and uninteresting, I have to admit I enjoyed this installment if just for the drama, it was very atmospheric
