  Girl: "Snake Plisken? I thought you were dead"

  Snake: "I am."

  Well now I'm dead because that's awesome.

  I love this movie, but 1997 was pretty boring compared to what this movie imagined it would be like. I guess Blade Runner has some similar problems. Ridley Scott went all the way to 2019 but we still don't have flying cars, just dumb ass cyber-trucks.

  Botanist and space pirate Mark Watney survives off of poo poo potatoes on the reddest planet in our solar system. Beautiful, just beautiful.

  When I think about this movie I get a lil sad. I think it's one of the last movies made in a bygone era where we imagined a future where science and unity take priority over greed and ignorance.
