1917 2019
Everything in this film felt so natural—the shots, the acting, the seamless transitions. and the attempt to film it in (mostly) one take only deepened my appreciation for the effort put into the film.
I always love a great war film, and this one is equally comparable to one of my favorites, Hacksaw Ridge.

The Menu 2022
So, it's basically a grittier version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was inherently dark already.
I re-watched it yesterday, and that's definitely one way to look at it—it makes sense.
I also find it ironic that Nicholas Hoult, who played Charlie, is in The Menu; it just adds the cherry on top.
