multiple women in a chang cheh film feels like a record. and the men hardly took their shirts off even
much slower and more melodramatic than his later fare. if he had made this later in his career he probably would have trimmed off almost everything except jimmy wang yu’s training.
incredibly pretty too. probably one of the best best uses of the Shaw Brother’s studios that i can think of
easy to see why this is such a foundational wuxia honestly
