  It's fun, energetic, meaningful and smart, but it's so overstuffed that even Director Bong can't handle the balance exercise. It's social commentary here and social commentary there, and there's also environmentalism, and there's also media aspects and political aspects, and unconditional romance, and amoral scientists, and ruthless loan sharks, and it all just brought down the third act into a chore for me. The film just lacks the grace of Bong's better works to flow through all of the wackiness smoothly. It's still actual cinema that attempts something huge, and it's not something to underestimate.

  Фильм амбициозно замахивается на все и сразу, как в общем-то и Булгаков, и страйк до конца не выбивает, но свою работу выполняет достойно, без кринжа, что, говорю искренне, большой успех. Отдельное спасибо за сопротивление явно существовавшему соблазну смягчить все углы, убрав летающие головы и голые груди.

  The material is definitely there, but it's realized in a very uneven and clunky way. Three main actresses are really well cast and Fiona Shaw especially brings on a terrifying evocation of a parent who'd mess you up, but they all often seem to be put into a scene without much direction.
