I read the book right before the film so the twist was anticipated and yet, I was wildly impressed. Jomo Fray is one of our greatest living cinematographers and should be respected as such. Ethan Herisse & Brandon Wilson are super stars! Aunjanue bodied that!

It’s 10:02pm on 10/18 as I log this. I finished the film at 9:30 and I haven’t stopped tearing up. What a beautiful story about romance and love.

As I sat through this film, I kept thinking about how much art and artists get trapped in systems that aren’t conducive for growth or even mere expression. Greg and team, this is a beautiful film. Congratulations.
