😮‍💨 The greatest kill of this film, is the potential that it had to be great.

I hate using the term "mid" to describe anything, but I really felt nothing watching this film. Maxxxine really begs the question "Did X need to be a Trilogy?" The writing and storyline felt vapid, and void of purpose. I'm personally not a fan of slasher films, but I enjoyed Pearl. It's a good film, there's a lot of allegory on relationships and how your kink or perverse eye can take your focus away from genuine human connection. I'm glad I watched Pearl before this.
There's a lot of wisdom in this film. Grab your significant other, and watch a movie about p*rn together.

Extra: This is a great watch specifically for those in long term relationships, and are looking to spend many more years with that person. There's some meaningful practical insight.

I've been waiting for a film like this. A stark and honest depiction of a moment in history. A less commonly known tale, that everyone should be aware of. Superb acting and story telling. Not in any way pandering to a people group, or light jabs to another. Characters that you connect with early on, and growing invested interest as the story progresses. Scorsese directing was outstanding for this movie. It felt like a traditional film classic, but with a fresh story that was begging to be told. Spectacular work from absolutely everyone involved.
