Quite fun, not saying it’s revolutionary or has to be, but I feel like it could have used some action, as there is barely any thrill.

Benjamin’s reaction to seeing Majdanek seems calculated and his tears are something a teacher would expect from you on a school trip - it’s emotionless, verges on american guilt and Eisenberg, throughout the whole film, barely tells you anything about Poland. Sure, there’s some pretty shots of Lublin, but even the cinematography is a reminiscent of a standard indie movie. Somehow I can’t find the right words to say how many things were just plain bad in this film - but if the director opens his movie saying it was “shot entirely on 35mm”, you’re in for a bad time. The acting is stellar and I think that’s the only thing I really liked about this whole thing. It’s definitely not as clever as it thinks, every twist and turn is predictable, some of the screen time is wasted on some really try-hard humour and… yeah, at least Cuckoo, which was also not good, was not that boring?
