  Felt like there were 2 different movies going on, one of which I loved, the other of which I didn’t care for. Ruffalo was a complete miss, sadly, but Pattinson is such a good time. Good movie, and I think there’s a great version of it, but unfortunately this wasn’t it.

  Oh my god this movie HONKS! New favorite of the year hands down. I haven’t been this engrossed by a new movie since I don’t know when. What I love most is that the story is simple enough that the movie can introduce unfamiliar mythologies and traditions without alienating the audience. Instead of feeling confusion, you only want to know more. Robert Eggers cements himself as one of our best visual storytellers— and he has to be the mustiest filmmaker working today.
