I am thankful for Mylod, Reiss, and Tracy to not take "eat the rich" literally, if only for the cliché, though it leaves the film with a weaker political grounding as a satire that makes me almost wish for the trope if nothing but for the laugh in what otherwise lands better as a comedy than any serious political satire, or the horror that the movie feels like it is being held back from embracing.
