  Reaches for the Great American Novel ambitions of Paul Thomas Anderson’s masterpieces (There Will Be Blood, The Master) and *mostly* succeeds. Maybe a little too slight and a little too obvious to justify the epic-ness of it all. But still deeply impressive and immersive.
