  man, i wish we could go back to this timeline where hollywood let real directors make super hero movies... besides, hulk is hardly a super hero movie; it's closer to a psychodrama exploring childhood trauma. it honestly felt like a marvel movie made for thinking and feeling humans.

  overall, there's lots of really interesting filmmaking on display. very cool imagery, low in volume but highly iconic action sequences, many surprisingly emotional beats, and an awesome score.

  if you haven't seen hulk since it's debut in 2003, i recommend a revisit. you'll be shocked at how stirring it is.

  it took me 8 years to build up the gumption to rewatch this... one of the most brutal, visceral, heavy films you'll watch.
  despite this entire movie taking place in about 3 rooms, it's exceptionally thrilling. it has minimal but HIGHLY effective violence that's hard to stomach. you'll find yourself as scared and panicked as the band trapped in the Green Room.
