  The neon-infused roller skating greek mythology love story I never knew I was missing. Clarinet on the beach. Six guys in orange suits playing rock and roll. Olivia Newton John as a sexy cartoon goldfish. With an ELO soundtrack to really send me over the edge. Xanadu forever. 🙅‍♂️

  My vote for best editing for sure. Kinda confused why somebody made a movie about a fictional guy pioneering a real architectural movement, but you can’t argue with those results.

  Look, it may be dramatic to be insulted by a movie so clearly directed toward a child audience… but I don’t understand how anybody could think that this franchise, of all franchises, could benefit from an innocent, inoffensively cheery movie. By the end of the movie, Wonka is painted as a hero who cares deeply for others and loves sharing his chocolate with the world… which makes it a wildly unnatural prequel to a movie about a social recluse who…

  Walked out of the theater on this one. Almost made it to the end before realizing, “I have not enjoyed a single moment of this.” Pitiful writing, pacing, and acting; a lazy villain redemption arc; and a laughable sex into suicide sequence. Frances McDormand talking at a weird CGI deer was just the nail in the coffin.
