Hmmm……
I really liked this film, but something about it didn’t fully capture me from beginning to end? Maybe it was the pacing. Very creative. Very Dune-Isque. Maybe it was the fact it was sometimes to painful to watch.
The performances are spectacular. Mark my words: Robby baby is getting an Oscar. 100%. Feels like an Emma Stone in Poor Things type of performance. Markkkkkkkkkkk too. Goddamn.
I was hoping this was going to be similar to The Lobster or Killing of a Sacred Deer…but it just wasn’t. It was like trying to be absurd instead of just being absurd. Pretty disappointed.
