  there was a mosquito that kept flying past my laptop screen as i was watching this so i kept intermittently having to pause the movie to try (and fail) to kill it, and it was kind of taking me out of the whole experience.. but then, a little over halfway through, there's this quiet, kind of inconsequential ~2 minute scene where Yang Kuei-Mei tries to kill a mosquito of her own and right when she got hers, i finally managed to get mine and it was one of the most profound cinematic moments of my life
