It might be nigh impossible to make story and message be intertwined as well as in Parasite, but mainly in the third act (which was a mess to begin with) the disconnect was so big to me that the story felt like a (at times forced) vessel for its message

The Little Mermaid 2023
From a technical standpoint there is so much that could have been handled so much better. The boring cinematography, at times abysmal sound design and bad acting (except for Halle, whom I didn't expect to put on such a great performance) are aspects I couldn't look past, and things got worse as the story progressed. Especially in the second half.
But keeping in mind that this film is made for a very young audience, technical aspects have to be dumbed…
