Sweeney Todd has been a favourite of mine for years now. It never fails to make me happy, it is a perfect combination of horror/thriller, comedy and musical. Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd/Benjamin Barker is fantastic. He really captures Todd’s personality and his on screen chemistry with Helena Bonham Carter makes excellent viewing. (15)Really clever concept for a movie. The acting is brilliant and I love how they have used an actual deaf actress for the movie (Millicent Simmonds) unlike Hush. Specific scenes are super intense including the birth scene. The whole film keeps you on edge.
