Ooo that was so engaging and fun to watch. Also, convinced this is v inspired by A Separate Peace and not about that one bit. I love a movie with effective foreshadowing, and feel v proud as someone who consumes way too much media, that I predicted the ending 30 minutes or so before,m. Watching it crystallize was *chef’s kiss.* Sweet, sweet poetry.
The acting was top notch, with the chemistry between Patrick and Art being palpable, especially in the flashbacks.
Also, Trent Reznor is really making a killing scoring movies. Bravo!

Listen. This movie had an incredibly unique perspective and subject matter that has a remarkable way of turning the tables. From the beginning of the film, you never question your stance or judgement of this family or how horrific this scenario truly is…until you do. Suddenly you find yourself in present day Auschwitz, watching these people clean the glass and sweep the floors, seemingly unaffected by the horrors that transpired in that very space.
