oh, what a privilege it is to remember and to be remembered.
ang maalala ka, at maalala mo ako.
will the filmbros get mad if i say this movie is overrated…?
like yeah, sure, it’s iconic—al pacino’s performance, the famous line “the eyes chico, they never lie.”, and the whole rags-to-riches-to-downfall is classic—but sometimes it feels like people glorify it more for the aesthetic and macho vibes than for its actual depth or storytelling. plus, the pacing drags in parts, and some scenes feel unnecessarily excessive. not saying it's bad, just... maybe a little overhyped?
my dumbass thought: “OooOH they got al pacino in this too?!?” but then terry benedict was shown and i was so confused because there’s something really different. AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE A DIFFERENT ACTOR. ANDY GARCIA
Mr. Donald Sutherland, you will always be our favorite Mr. Bennet.
this movie is so painfully boring. i couldn’t understand what it was trying to say. and the characters are extremely bland. plus, it’s blatantly racist and the cinematography is mid. i really do not get the hype. what do you guys see in this pretentious movie?
(just 1 star for the good music)
