Not to be dramatic, but I hate myself for not seeing this in theatres. An instant favourite for me. I feel like the neon imagery in Fargeat’s Revenge was her blueprint for The Substance. I hope she continues to keep her style choices consistent in her movies, regardless of their topics, so that you can always tell it is one of her films. Fargeat has such a sexy way of telling these bright and bloody stories about beautiful women in insane situations. The Substance was wild and disgusting.

The Craft 1996
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Trust me, there’s a handful of movies that I love just because of the nostalgia, but the Craft is criminally overrated.
The CGI is so bad - I was pretty forgiving considering it was 1996 - but I almost turned it off when Balk “walked across the water” lol.
The script is SO weak - the dialogue borderline cringe, and the character development (on anyone) is non existent.
That said, Balk gave a fearless performance - and the movie wouldn’t…

The Gentlemen 2019
Guy Ritchie created bi-panic for both men and women with this film. Stand-out performances by the entire main cast. The costumes, set design, and soundtrack echo each of the characters’ big personalities. This movie isn’t about dusty old estates, grey London days, or white old men smoking cigars. The Gentleman is a colourful, fun, twisty film with slick dialogue and a lot of unexpected laughs. Plus, the Pound of Flesh scene is sure to drive anyone absolutely feral. Highly recommend.
