  Pretty? Yes. Well-acted? Yes. Poignant? Yes. But after a promising first half, it loses itself in the second and becomes a convoluted mess, saved only by Daniel Craig's masterful perfomance. Yay for Jason Schwartzmann, though!

  Maybe I'm biased, because this is the childhood movie for me, but I find absolutely no flaws with this. From the script to the cinematography and direction and score, not to mention the CGI which is way ahead of its time, I just love this movie so much. Keeps me engaged the whole way through and never fails to make me cry. This truly is the magic of cinema.
