  That was disappointing. I’m not sure why I expected more. I went in thinking it would be a fresh, perhaps even more feminist take on the erotic genre, but the plot was flat and boring. It seemed to try to go deeper than something like Fifty Shades of Grey, but didn’t quite succeed. The visuals and cinematography were good; the film is beautiful to look at. The acting was fine, though I expected a bit more. I liked some of the side characters, but they didn’t have enough screen time to make a real impact on the film.

  I think this is almost a perfect movie, certainly perfect casting for the main Characters. I think the Setdesign is beyond what I could imagine, same for costume, hair, Makeup etc.. They really took full advantage of fleshing things out that could never be done on a stage.   How we have movies like the Matrix or Avatar that came out years before Borderlands but now we get CGI like that is beyond me. I don't need to repeat all the stuff the critics are saying anyways, it's not a good film. However, two stars for Cate Blanchett and Cate Blanchett only, I enjoy any movie where she kicks ass, so I'm not too mad I watched it.

  I thought this was a weaker version of The Idea of you. Because I think it tried to be something it was not. Joey King's character was not a teenager anymore, yet she still behaved like one.
