Such a beautiful film, such a beautiful love between Ivan and Marichka.
Marichka’s life ended and killed Ivan’s joy forever, but he died thinking of his beloved so she stayed with him his whole life and he never forget her. Such is their pure and beautiful love, one that can only be when you love each other since you were children.

Wow..
This film is sad and at times harrowing. It’s images of landscape are depressing; the mass grave yards, the ruined land, the unnaturalness of everything.. and yet the human spirit remains indomitable nonetheless. If people stay, and if they persevere, it’s all that matters. Faith in humanity can be restored, no matter the difficult progress they have in restoring it.I think the shot that films Sergiy and Katya in the van through the window in the pouring rain is really beautiful.
That they come love, shows that you can never kill the human spirit, even in the worst conditions.
