  This huge movie is a lucid, sarcastic, merciless and truthful portrait much more than it can appear, of the customs and "morality" of our country back in that era. Marcello Mastroianni is huge with his tics and expressions, but most of the cast shines.
  Sicily with its people, its rules, its contradictions.
  And then the straining rhythm of the music creates a sense of tension in many scenes and makes this film a must see.

  I always wanted to watch this movie and I finally got the chance also because in these days the sequel is out and I’m curious!
  The movie is great and iconic, you can see Tim Burton’s style and atmosphere all over the movie; then the structure of the story which is simple and quick.
  I also want to give some credit to the music, especially at the very beginning, which is amazing and it reflects the style.
