Philadelphia 1993
Raw, empathic, compassionate, heartbreaking in many ways. Excellent cinematography, sensitive story-telling. Fantastic cast.
But - a gay film made by straights. With straights. Courageous at the time, but disappointing in its lack of authenticity and straight washing.
Maybe it just didn't age well, but it bothers me.
