MJB is a conflagration.
It felt like the “commentary”—whether around class, capitalism, zionism, movement and belonging—largely functioned to support the aesthetic and technological ambitions of the film, rather than forming a totality. Dialogue and flow the slag of a VistaVision epic.

brilliant and f••••ed up analysis of those insidious flows of labour and capital; social reproduction (gendered and more-than-human); the violent adjacencies of accumulation and oppression; and the permeability (aural, bodily, affective) between that persists despite literal and figurative obfuscation. while embedded in the holocaust, it seems to me more about the machinations of ascribing value and devaluation to forms of life, and how these operate / harm across time and culture. sound design 🤌🏻
