  surprisingly tender. i kind of forget sometimes in the noise of fame that leo is really good at acting. i think clint eastwood really believes in the power of people shaping their lives and societies (not that he necessarily agrees with each subject of his movies).

  the banality! the treachery! the narrative! the incredibly specific mid 90s inner west sydney aesthetics! essential viewing. finding out in the post-screening q&a with the director that he started the filming through a commitment to nimbyism is sickening lol. the albo-loving, writers festival, 'progressive' nimby boomer class must fall!!!!
