Interesting idea, great cinematrography, beautiful actors. These are the sole redeeming qualities of this film. Tang Wei and Chris Hemsworth’s characters were extremely insufferable (so was 90% of the cast TBH). I remember watching this in high school saying, “I need to rewatch this when I’m older and can fully understand the context of this better”. However years later, I can just confirm that this is mid and is literally only entertaining when watching with people who give live commentary.
