The animation was wonderful, strong voice acting, and some really great visuals (loved the scene in the silo when the popcorn began popping), but the story was lacking. Didn’t have as much heart as the original.

Saltburn 2023
Beautiful cinematography, great acting, superficial plot. I felt like the last 15 minutes tore down any ambiguity about Oliver and just showed too much. There were flashbacks to scenes that had taken place 20 minutes prior, and nothing new or interesting was revealed. It’s one of those movies that is fun to watch but falls apart with too much scrutiny or analysis.

Elemental 2023
Sweet story about immigration and finding yourself. The animation of this movie sets it apart from other Disney films that have been coming out recently. There are are a few cliches, with similar elements to Zootopia, and other love stories, it still has a unique take. I wish parts of the film were more fleshed out, but I think it was great regardless! Watching the Making of Elemental helped me to appreciate the effort behind the film more.
