in my opinion, a very visually stunning film. the colours, the lighting, the set design, etc. i found the way that the camera stayed in one spot really interesting, and it was very well-done. to get everything in just the right position would have been very difficult to accomplish. and honestly, i understand why they made the decision to film the entire movie in one position, to show the overlap between the different times, because that is how the graphic…

genuinely can’t believe it took me this long to watch this, although i’m almost glad it did. this film hits a lot harder with what’s happening in Aotearoa at the moment. the racism and political protests that happened back then are happening again now, and it’s difficult having to watch everything happening to my people from halfway across the world.
engaging storyline, great cast, the best humour, and well-shot. 10/10 👍🏼
