Once Upon a Time in America 1984
Beautiful. The immediate urge to watch the beginning of the movie right after it ended just so I can actually check and made sure everything made sense. This movie becomes special when you realize not only how clever it was but coming from a list of amazing western movies that don’t become as intricate as this fully dressed Robert Deniro Industrial Age story of an old man trying to locate a treasure of his beloved past.

As a fan of the hbo series and comic, watching this was exciting at first until you get to the end where you realize the whole movie felt as if they were dilly dallying until the climax which was super rushed and just plane odd, considering the fact that it’s a movie from the 90s the effects or costume design were spot on. The ending was just terribly corny and unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth.
