The desolate feeling of isolation in an arctic wasteland, the overwhelming instinct to survive as humans, the hysteria that comes with distrust and conspiracy, and an alien creature that can inconspicuously invade its surroundings. The Thing is by far one of the most well crafted horror/sci-fi films I have ever seen.
