  The film is like a cross of Moon, Edge of Tomorrow and an old Doctor Who episode. I did feel it started to drag on a wee bit after the first half of the film.

  Robert Pattinson was thoroughly engaging and terrific as 17 and 18. 18's anger is never really explained where it came from but its a small quibble. Mark Ruffalo was bordering on parody with his Trumpian performance and was slightly off putting but I get where he was going with it.

  I think this will be one you either really love or just don't get.

  Whew! Despite reservations about the runtime, time absolutely flew by. Every set-piece is a joy and I was surprised by how much it felt like the first movie. This is also Ving Rhames best performance as Luther since the third film I think. He gets a lot more to do here. The humour of the film is on point too and Simon Pegg especially is always a joy.

  The film definitely feels like half a story and I would argue it's out as good as Fallout and just above the excellent Rogue Nation. I can't absolutely wait for Part 2 nevertheless!
