successfully convinced me to take up poetry. i never saw robin williams in a movie before but he won me over with this one. this is like the godfather of the unorthodox teacher meets uneducated class genre, which tends to be most formulaic, including this movie but its got so much heart, you cannot compare to those other ones. immaculate dialogue and i love nonconformity, if only the story broke boundaries too! its still a solid movie regardless.

If I had a nickel for every time I watched a movie based on a children’s toy where the main protagonist has a existential crisis and examines their self worth in an extremely conformist world where Will Ferrell plays as an corrupt businessman, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.
