fine? not sure it deserves the screaming crying throwing up response to its acting. jesse eisenberg has one (great) beat and it’s making ppl a little bit uncomfortable.

too long! but - amongst comedy true crime podcasts and ted bundy sightseeing tours, enjoyed a film which essentially edges you without any proper resolution and is also interested in the futility & paranoia of obsessing over the need for a definite truth. not a subversion of it, really, because ends up falling into some of those same patterns.

on my left, a woman was sobbing. on my right, another woman (my mum) was tearing up. in front of me, a cgi monkey representing robbie williams was having a wank.

the real evil is the meat industry/big oil/social reproduction we made along the way?

despite the 30+ mins of screaming and running and the loudest murder weapon in the world I loved that so many of the scares come at you slightly sideways: the meat hook that we can’t quite see, grandpa unable to hold the hammer long enough, the uneven pacing and speed of the murders. was tense the whole time, ideal.
