An eco-thriller chock-full of lessons for each one of us, no matter the age. while some might call this a norwegian ripoff of king-kong, i see it as a metaphor for the broader strokes of civilization and society; who hasn’t been persecuted by the church, had their families wiped out by successive generations of norwegian royalty, and then been evaporated by blazing UV rays emitted by the sun? A rare film, one that dazzles the eye, enchants the mind, and melts even the stoniest of hearts. 2/5 stars.
If you watched the first Avatar in 2009, and then fell into a coma and awoke in 2022 to watch the second one, you might enjoy this film. Otherwise you’ll have no idea what’s going on or why everyone’s blue.

One might be inclined to believe that Dune: Part Two is a warning - a film about false messiahs, the corruption of absolute power, and the bittersweet victory of the oppressed over that same corruption.
But Dune: Part Two is about worms.
Big worms, small worms. Desert worms, water worms. Battle worms. Commuter worms. Worms of all shapes and sizes. They fight them, feed them, ride them, worship them, and drink their blood.
