    This felt like trudging through fairly boring 70 minutes, occasionally interspersed with delightful snippets of songs, just to each a phenomenal ending. Is the ending worth it? If you have the right drugs and company, DEFINITELY!!!

    It’s a dangerous musical. The power of the beauty and sadness on display shattered my heart. It is so Jewish, anyone who watches it is in real danger of losing their foreskin. The cultural aspects were a delight. The dancing especially. Staying seated while beholding such revelry felt wrong, a person looking into a party through a window, unable to participate. There’s a very good chance this is now one of my favourite musicals

Like genesis, sin quickly follows the beginning, and merriment and tragedy walk hand in hand. In this beautiful movie, Sean Baker creates a simulacra of Adam’s out outstretched hand to god. Here, an avatar of society’s underbelly in the form of a stripper/prostitute is visited upon by a young Russian from the heights of the capitalist pyramid, for whom money…
