lynch’s ability to manipulate the audience’s comfort in cinematic traditions has never been showcased quite like this. a movie i can see myself revisiting an infinite amount of times and learning more about it each time (although i likely won’t because of a couple of the scariest scenes ive ever encountered). the film’s last two hours is some of the most deeply compelling and uncomfortable i’ll see. its nonlinear narrative is borderline unnavigable but works so well. so disorienting, so tragic. just another masterpiece from my favorite director atm
